In today's society, it is common to see influencers of any type pushing their healthy habits onto you. We usually love this interaction because we can gain something from learning about someone else's process. However, one of the main focal points of being healthy today is nutrition and diet. Well, this is so important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, worrying about your food will not solve all of your problems. It is true that maintaining a healthy diet and fitness schedule can improve the quality of your life, but unfortunately, you will not see drastic results in every area of your life.
Balancing your physical health in terms of diet and exercise is just the first step in creating the life that you've dreamed of. If you want to be successful in all aspects of life, you will have to work consistently to improve all aspects of your life. Nothing comes easy and everything takes time and energy (intimidating, I know). But don’t worry, Everyone feels overwhelmed at some point oh, so we can all help each other out. The first thing you need to do after you focus on your physical health is implementing a self-nutrition policy into your life. Let’s dive in a little deeper to see what you can change about your daily habits right now to improve your life.
What Is Self-Nutrition?
Self-nutrition can be defined as self-care, but it focuses more on what you consume rather than what you DO for yourself. When we think of nutrition, we usually think about food. We want to consume healthy food in order to optimize the function of our bodies. the same goes for our minds, too. In order to maintain a healthy mindset and mental clarity, you should consume positive and healthy information throughout your day. Obviously, it is important to stay up-to-date on current events even if they are not good news. However, I'm taking negative situations, and focusing on the positive can really improve the way you function from the inside out.
In your free time, when you have the choice of what you consume, take note of the information you are absorbing. you may not realize that you consume as much negative media as you really do. Try taking note of how the things you see on social media or on TV make you feel. The internet is full of information that can both benefit and harm our journeys. It is up to you to decide what you pay attention to and how you let negative things impact your mindset.
What You Consume Matters
Since self-nutrition has a lot to do with what we consume, we have to understand how much digital consumption impacts our life. Subconsciously, the things you see creep into your mind and impact the choices you make from that point forward. All of our experiences mean something to us, so working through the negative ones can be extremely beneficial when we are trying to bring out the best in ourselves. Not only are negative life experiences impacting the way you feel, but so are negative influences you view through the media.
Digital media has become one of the most powerful tools of modern society. It connects people in ways that nobody ever thought would be possible. However, we see only what people put on the internet, creating an illusion of perfection in some cases or disaster in others. It is so easy to display your life online in a light that is inaccurate to reality. Remembering this is the key to eliminating ”junk food” from your self-nutrition “diet”. If you have a tough time maintaining your confidence, try ‘unfollowing’ people on social media that make you feel discouraged in any way. Unsubscribe to podcasts that don't radiate with your message anymore, or align with where you want to be. There is no problem with changing the way you look for positive influences in your life. There are no rules!
What You Radiate Matters
On your typical nutrition journey, you not only have to worry about what you consume but also about the effort you put in and the energy you put out. There are so many situations where we forget how important it really is to radiate what we want out into the world. Have you ever had a bad day and you chose to stay in a cranky mood for the rest of the day? Odds are, you went throughout your day experiencing one inconvenience after another, making it seem like one of the worst days ever. News flash!!! – You decided to stay in a mindset where you were focusing on all of the negatives. You chose to ignore anything good that was going on around you or to create a positive experience for yourself. Good things aren’t always going to just happen to you. You need to work for them, even if it seems like there’s a dark cloud above your head.
So how can you radiate positive energy to manifest what you want in life? The same way you would put the time and energy into working out to get the body you want. To get the life and mind you want, you have to put in the time and energy. Meditation, positive affirmations, positive self-talk, and constructive communication with people who matter are some of the most effective ways to manifest the life you want. You have to talk about the things you want in order to develop your ideas into a feasible reality. Think about it… none of your plans for ANYTHING in life have come to fruition just by you thinking about them. You have to take action. You have to know that you deserve it, and then go for it.
If you’re struggling to figure out your self-nutrition balance in your life, start by asking yourself what you can eliminate or take a step back from in your life. This can be people in your personal or social media circle, a job, a habit, or anything else that makes you feel stuck in your life. It’s time to get your self-nutrition schedule aligned with your physical nutrition goals.
