The first thing your clients and prospects will want to know is what you stand for as a business. Think about it: if you’re on the consumer’s end of things, what do you want to see when you click on someone’s website? Usually within the first 30 seconds of looking at a landing page, you’ll notice things like the brand’s logo and the title or headline of the website. A brand’s USP is basically a mission statement explicitly stating what the purpose of the business is and what they have to offer the consumer. When you’re developing the title and headlines of your landing page, make sure you give a clear vision to your audience explaining how your business will benefit them and how it is superior to competitors. This is a big first impression opportunity, so make an impact with your statements.

Compelling Hero Shot

Along with a strong headline and USP, your customers are first going to notice any images you have on your landing page. The images you use should be original if possible and relevant to what you have to offer your clients. They should be professional and easy to see as well. Your hero shot, however, is usually in the forefront of your website. Why is it called a hero shot? Because it’s showcasing your biggest features! It’s the image that will make your clients say “Woah, this is definitely worth my time”. The more compelling your hero image is, the more attention you’ll attract. Your hero shot should inspire your clients and show them something they’ll miss out on if they don’t take advantage of your business! This could be an actual product or service being shown, like a photograph from one of your classes if you’re a fitness trainer. Call to Action

Now that your clients know what your company stands for, why it stands out, and they can visually see what you have to offer, it’s time to close the deal! A strong call to action should be direct, but not overbearing. You don’t want to make it seem like you're forcing your clients into anything, as that might turn them away. Instead, gently urge your clientele to take action – but be straight forward too!

Whether it be signing up for your email newsletter so that you can funnel them your products or purchasing your services directly from your site, it’s important to encourage them to take action NOW!

Your call to action is the final aspect of your landing page’s first impression to your customer, so make sure you stand by what your brand’s mission is all the way to the end of your “pitch”. You can include testimonials from other clients as credibility, as a lot of potential clients like to see real people sharing their experiences. Your call to action could be something like “Book a call with us now!” or “Sign up now to take the next step towards a better you!”.
