What should my free content look like?

Freebies can come in all shapes and sizes. Some are physical items while others are digital downloads. Granting free access to information about your product or service is a great way to prove your value and tease the whole offer.

Your purpose is to create interactions with your audience — so think about what they want to see.

Free Services/Downloads

A lot of free content comes in the form of downloadable PDF Guides, Podcast Episodes, and sometimes a Live Call. Any type of contact you can make with your clients will benefit your business. You’re solving a tiny problem (or a part of a larger problem) in a way that’s accessible.

Free Products

This one’s great if you have a tangible item that people are interested in trying out, but may be nervous to invest in fully. This will prove your product’s value and get them hooked.

You can also provide branded merchandise as an incentive to your customers and clients. Who doesn’t love a free tee or coffee mug?

So what can I get out of giving people free content?

Free content helps build trust. When you provide your prospects with proof that you can solve their problem, they’re going to see your value and be much more likely to invest in you. It’s also important to stay specific and personal with your customers so they feel relatable to you. Include something that proves your credibility in your freebie. Why should your audience listen to YOU?

When you provide free content, you’re gaining so much for your business. Not only will you have resources that show your hard work and dedication to your career, but you now have the tools to continue growing your passion. You’ll be able to reach so many people with your content and reel them in to use your products or services loyally.
