How often does it happen that you put in a whole day's work only to find that you feel like basically nothing of value actually got done?
It can be a very frustrating feeling!
But you have power and control over your time — you just have to take charge!
Here are some nifty hacks to help you be as productive as possible (without the burnout!) ⬇
Planning and Timing

Sometimes being more productive is as simple as writing something down.
Break out your favorite pen and a flashy planner — taking a little break to plan out your upcoming days and weeks will honestly make a world of difference in how you end up spending your time.
And speaking of time… remember life is full of give and take.
- Work hard — and give yourself a little leeway (no one’s perfect)
- Time things out while also planning for some unexpected situations
- Give yourself proper breaks, but make sure they are within reason
- Don’t over or under stress yourself when it comes to deadlines
- Don’t rush things, but don’t take all of the time in the world
Balance and reason are wonderful things when it comes to planning and timing.
Distractions and Decisions

Can you imagine trying to get work done in the middle of a high school football game? Or at a restaurant with your extended family digging into the basket of free biscuits?
It’d be pretty hard, right?
Don’t let things get in the way of the day you have laid out — you are allowed to say no if you don’t have time or ability to cater to something else.
On the flip side, distractions are going to come up that are going to take priority over what you’re currently doing — that’s okay! It’s all about ✓ prioritization, ✓ time management, and ✓ figuring out the best order of things.
And when making decisions — save your energy and don’t sweat small stuff that won’t make or break a situation. Start with the high ticket items and work your way to the small stuff later.
Tasks and Goals

Tasks and goals are two little friends that go together like peanut butter and jelly — tasks should have goals and goals should have tasks.
Reaching your goals through a list of tasks looks like…
- Making note of what you want to accomplish
- Setting both short and long term goals
- Batching them out into items of action
- Getting to work and adjusting as needed
Goals and tasks should be a part of every business plan — but it’s good to remind yourself that goals should be set as quality over quantity.
A few really good goals and having a solid plan behind them will be your best bet on your road to success.
Mental and Physical Care

You're not going to be very productive if you're tired, stressed, or anxious — same goes for internal health issues.
Think of it this way — have you ever tried working when you have the flu? It’s pretty hard (and pretty awful).
✓ Get good sleep
✓ Drink lots of water
✓ Exercise
✓ Eat healthy foods
✓ Get outside
✓ Stretch
✓ Relax
✓ Laugh
When your mind and body aren’t aligned, your business won’t be either. Take care of yourself and everything else will be on the right track too.
